Major Real Estate Firms Donate Over US$16 million for COVID-19 Vaccine

By 08 December, six major local real estate companies have donated a total of US$16 million to the government to purchase COVID-19 vaccines.

Those firms include Prince Real Estate Group, Pheng Hout Group, Chip Mong Group, Royal Group, and Borey Piphop Tmey, who donated US$3 million each. Meanwhile, Leng Navatra also donated US$1 million.

According to a government announcement at 9:30 am on 08 December, the government has received a donation of about US$18 million. The number keeps increasing as more and more people are donating.

The government announced the previous night that it is preparing a budget for 1 million doses of vaccine in the first phase to give to those at risk, and is also preparing a budget to purchase 2 to 3 million doses for the next phase. However, 32 million doses of the vaccine are needed to cover the entire population.
