PP Authority to Speed Up Work on 2035 Draft Land Use Masterplan

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration has decided to revise the master plan for land use in Phnom Penh in 2035 to facilitate the systematic issuance of land titles to the people as soon as possible, said PP Governor Khuong Sreng on 29 November.

He said that the masterplan is not only helpful for the issuance of land titles for the public but also helps the authority develop the city in the right direction.

The governor continued that some khans have already prepared the masterplan for land use for Vision 2035 and only some newly created khans have not been prepared yet, so they need to study the master plan clearly.

“The specialised departments, including the 14 district governors, must carefully examine their master plans to avoid violating the capital’s 2035 master plan. In 8 to 10 years, the master plan must be updated to make it easier to provide systematic land ownership plans to people quickly, said HE Khuong Sreng.

According to the city development master plan for 2035, there will be nine infrastructure development projects needed to be approved immediately. (Read more)
