NR 31 Rehabilitation Project Nears Completion at Over 96%, Ahead of Schedule

The rehabilitation and upgrade of NR No. 31, covering a distance of over 53 kilometres, has achieved an impressive 96.10% completion as of early August 2024. With this pace, the project is expected to be completed a full year ahead of schedule, while maintaining the highest technical standards, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on 9 August 2024.

The ministry confirmed that the application of two layers of AC rubber has been fully completed. Additionally, the installation of traffic safety equipment, including traffic signs, road signs, and safety bars, is slated for completion by the end of August 2024.

During a recent site inspection, HE Khan Maner, Secretary of State and Project Director, urged the construction company to strictly adhere to the technical standards and construction contracts to ensure the long-term durability and strength of the road.

The project is focused on restoring and upgrading NR No. 31, which spans 53.53 kilometres from Bek Kus, at the intersection of NR 3, to Kampong Trach district town, connecting with NR No. 33. The construction site was officially opened on 30 December 2022. (Read more)
