NR No. 10 Connecting Battambang-Koh Kong Progress Exceeds 77% Completion

Embarking on a transformative journey, the construction of NR No. 10, linking Koh Kong to Battambang via Pursat, has achieved a significant milestone, with over 77.81% of the colossal project now completed. This remarkable progress, revealed by Mr. Phorn Rim, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s spokesperson, on his Facebook page on 17 February 2024, underscores Cambodia’s commitment to advancing its vital infrastructure network. The monumental venture, initiated on 18 December 2019, is anticipated to culminate in June 2025, signalling a pivotal leap in the country’s connectivity landscape.

The extensive NR No. 10 spans 198.518 kilometres and is emblematic of Cambodia’s dedication to enhancing transportation corridors. A key feature within this project is the construction of one of Cambodia’s tallest bridges, soaring to a height of 530 metres at km 128 + 915, constituting 39% completion. This Grade III road, boasting a width of 9 metres and featuring two layers of asphalt (DBST), stands as a testament to the collaboration between Cambodia and the Chinese government. With a total investment surpassing US$188 million, the project navigates through Samlot in Battambang province, traversing Veal Veng, Osom, and Pursat province, ultimately reaching Koh Kong province.
