NR No 7 Expansion Project Reaches 20% Completion Milestone

The project to expand and upgrade National Road No. 7 into four lanes from the Skun roundabout to the base of the Kizuna Bridge has achieved 20% completion. PM Hun Manet announced this progress during the National Fish Day ceremony on 1 July 2024.

PM Hun Manet also mentioned that the working group has addressed 80% of the issues related to the project. The initiative, which began in January 2023, is backed by a US$117 million concessional loan from the Chinese government and aims to enhance a vital 45.48km stretch of road from the Skun district roundabout in Cheung Prey district to the provincial town of Kampong Cham, terminating at the Kizuna Bridge base roundabout.  (Read more)

The rehabilitation and expansion project will transform National Road No. 7 into a four-lane paved road (AC). The construction is expected to be completed within 40 months, with a target end date in 2026.
