Ring Road No.3 (Phnom Penh-Kandal) 37.15% complete

By the end of April 2020, construction of Ring Road No.3 linking from Phnom Penh to Kandal province was 37.15% complete according to Mr Heang Sotheayuth, Ministry of Public Works and Transport spokesman in comments to Construction & Property Magazine.

“Although the world and Cambodia are facing the corona virus global pandemic, the progress of constructing this ring road is still going well,” he added.

Ground was broken on this third ring road on 14 January 2019 and it will eventually stretch 52.9 kilometres, traversing through Kandal Province for 38 kilometres and Phnom Penh for 15 kilometres.

This project, which will also include four flyovers each about 1km long, will costabout US$273 million thanks to a loan from the People’s Republic of China.

According to H.E. Sun Chanthol, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, the project will take about 42 months to build, starting from December 2018 to December 2021. (Read More)
