Two Chinese-Funded Hospitals Worth US$130 million to Open for Operation in March

Two major Chinese-funded hospitals— Tbong Khmum hospital and Preah Kosomak hospital— will be officially inaugurated and opened for operation in March 2022.

Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen confirmed the opening date during the inauguration ceremony of the NR7 section on 7 February.

“There are two other major hospitals that will be inaugurated soon, a hospital in Tbong Khmum, which will be inaugurated on 7 March , and the Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital Preah Kosomak will be inaugurated on 28 March,” said PM Hun Sen.

The building of the Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital Preah Kosamak started in October 2018 on an area of 13,740 sqm and cost about US$80 million.  (Read more)

Meanwhile, the construction of Cambodia-China Friendship Hospital Tbong Khmum cost over US$50 million. With construction started in March 2019, the building was completed in November 2021. (Read more)
