Vietnam to Open World’s Longest Glass Bridge for Tourists in by Late April

A 632-metre-long glass bridge, the world’s longest is scheduled to open in Vietnam’s Moc Chau town for tourists this upcoming 30 April, according to the VN Express.

Located in the Moc Chau Island tourist area in Son La Province, around 200 kilometres from Hanoi, the Bach Long bridge is reaching completion.

Once completed and open, this bridge will win over the current world’s longest and highest glass bridge— the 430m Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon in western Hunan province in China.

Bach Long is 150 metres high with the deck made of super tempered glass produced by leading French company Saint Gobain.

The entire cable car system is also imported from South Korea.

When opened, only 500 people will be allowed to walk on the bridge at a time for safety.

Vietnam is currently seeking Guinness world record recognition as the world’s longest glass bridge.
