WB Arena to Bring Entertainment to Phnom Penh’s Riverside in November

The WorldBridge Group has invested USD10 million in a new riverside entertainment complex called WB Arena, which will be unique new attraction in Phnom Penh City.

Located along the Bassac River in Chak Angre Krom, WB Arena is built on about 1.3 hectares of land and comprises 13 buildings with a total of 171 units which are uniquely designed for different purposes. Different zones are divided within the complex on themes such as an international food & beverage zone, local food court, shopping market, health & beauty, kid’s zone, and a showcase arena theatre.

“The unique point about WB Arena is that it can be accessed both by water and by land. With an area of about 100 metres along the Bassac River, WB Arena has a jetty for water taxis, private boats, and boat tours to bring visitors to and from the complex. The other side of the complex is along National Road No. 2 that can be easily accessed with plenty of parking space,” said Simon Griffiths who is responsible for operations at the project.

“Another highlight that distinguishes WB Arena from other existing entertainment complexes is the multi-purpose 400-seat theatre. The theatre will offer variety of performances every night of the week including Khmer boxing, a circus, a cabaret show, concerts, cultural shows and many others,” he added.

WB Arena is also designed with several performance spots which allow local artists or any music bands to perform anything along the walking area, which can create more liveliness to the complex.

“Besides the relaxing riverside location, the concept of WB Arena is to always look for something new. We do not stop at where we start. We will always develop and change to make the visitors enjoy and always feel the differences and variety every time they visit WB Arena,” said Simon.

“As of this April, construction is about 70 percent completed. While the final completion is set for July, and the complex will open for public by November,” he added.

WB Arena has so far received good feedback from the retail community with many tenants already having signed agreements.
