FDI in 2021 at US$4.3 billion, 47% drop Y-o-Y

In 2021, Cambodia received a total of US$4,357 million in foreign direct investment (FDI), a decrease of 47 % compared to the amount in 2020 with a total FDI of US$8,250 million.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), FDI from China remains the top one at US$2,326 million, a 67% increase y-o-y.

FDI from Singapore and the United States was worth US$121 million and US$163 million, respectively.

FDI from South Korea was at US$24 million, down from US$262 million in 2020, while from Japan, on other hand, at US$61 million, up from US$46 million in 2020
