First 7-Eleven in Cambodia Set to Open at PTT Prek Pnov Gas Station in July

After 2 years of planning, 7-Eleven Cambodia is set to open its first branch this July at the Prek Phnov PPT gas station, according to the official announcement of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce.

The statement added that the team is currently wrapping up the construction and interior decoration. Thus, if the lockdown does not significantly affect the work, the 7-Eleven will be opened as planned.

CP All (Cambodia) Plc, the master franchisee of 7-Eleven Cambodia, has already brought in executive-level staff from Thailand, while the firm is also recruiting more local staff. Among those, Cambodian students who have received scholarships to study in Thailand are also part of the high-level management team.

The firm stated that entering the Cambodian market now is good timing, as demand for mini-marts is increasing though supply remains limited.

Currently, Cambodia has a limited range of minimarts including 22 Circle K, 22 Kiwi Marts, 12 Aeon MaxValue, 11 Smile Mini Marts, 5 Lucky Express, and 2 Chip Mong Express.
