Gov’t Approves Two New Investment Projects Worth US$8 million for PP & K. Speu

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given permits to private firms to invest nearly US$8 million to build two new factories in Phnom Penh and Kampong Speu.

According to the CDC announcement on 10 February, the two companies are:

1- XING KAI SEN GARMENT CO., LTD which will invest US$2.2 million to establish a garment factory in Kampoul village, Sangkat Kampol, Khan Kampol, Phnom Penh.

2- XIN JIALE INTERNATIONAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD which will invest US$5.4 million to set up a bag factory in Phou Chas, Pich Mony Commune, Kong Pisey District, Kampong Speu Province.

Both projects will create nearly 2,000 jobs for local people.

In the first month of 2022, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved a total of 25 investment projects worth over US$2.5 billion. Among these, projects related to construction and real estate accounted for approximately US$1.4 billion. (Read more)
