Kampong Speu Province Flourishes with US$11.4M Investments Approved by Government

In a testament to Cambodia’s thriving investment landscape, the Investment Committee of Cambodia, under the purview of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has granted its seal of approval to two remarkable investment projects with a combined value of over US$11.4 million. These ventures are set to invigorate the dynamic province of Kampong Speu, as formally announced by the CDC on 18 May 2023.

The first noteworthy project, led by GENMEI INDUSTRIAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, will bring a significant investment of US$5.8 million to establish a state-of-the-art garment factory in Krabei Tram village, Chung Ruk commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province. Committed to bolstering the local economy, this venture holds immense promise for job creation and economic prosperity.

Simultaneously, the second venture, spearheaded by TAI FONG SHOES (CAMBODIA) MANUFACTURING CO., LTD, has secured an investment of US$5.6 million to establish a cutting-edge shoe factory in Preah Mlop village, Pheary Meanchey commune, Bor Seth district, Kampong Speu province. This substantial investment demonstrates a resolute commitment to advancing the industrial sector while fostering employment opportunities for the local workforce.

Collectively, these two projects are projected to generate an impressive total of 5,697 employment opportunities, propelling the economic growth of Kampong Speu and serving as a catalyst for overall development in Cambodia.
