Tax Exemption for Tourism & Hotel Business in Siem Reap Continues for Three More Months

The government has decided to extend the tax exemption for tourism and hotel businesses in Siem Reap for another three months from January to March 2023, according to an official press release on 30 January. 

The exemption includes all types of monthly taxes, except value-added tax, for hotels, guesthouses and travel agencies registered with the General Department of Taxation and doing business in Siem Reap. 

However, these businesses are still required to file a tax return and use the online system for the management of value-added tax (E-VAT) every month during this period. 

This exemption is for only tourism and hotel businesses in Siem Reap, which is different from the previous exemption that also applied to Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. (Read more)
