Hong Lai Huat Group to Build Agricultural Hub on 10,000 hectares in Kampong Speu

Singaporen real estate developer, Hong Lai Huat Group, has received permission from the Royal Government to set up a huge agricultural hub on an area of about 10,000 hectares in Oral district in Kampong Speu province, according to The Business Times on 16 June.

The development project will be built in stages, starting in the fourth quarter of 2021. Under the first phase, the infrastructure upgrading works, such as the internal road networks, electrical cables and water supply will be built first.

The development is expected to include zones for value-added food-processing factories, warehousing facilities and a logistics hub, renewable energy, livestock farms, construction materials, plantations, aquaponics, water treatment, as well as commercial and community-living concepts.

Hong Lai Huat Group hopes the project will attract foreign direct investment and create jobs for locals.
