Kampot Unveils Plans to Enchant Tourists with Floating Market & Beach Developments

In a bid to solidify Kampot’s position as a premier tourist destination, provincial authorities have unveiled a series of captivating projects, including a floating market and pristine beach developments, according to the Ministry of Information on 17 May 2024.

These initiatives aim to broaden Kampot’s tourism offerings, catering to both domestic and international visitors. Inspired by the well-received seahorse statue, a landmark that garnered significant local and tourist acclaim, authorities are setting their sights on establishing a unique floating market. This novel attraction promises to add a vibrant and interactive dimension to the Kampot tourism experience.

Furthermore, the Kampot Provincial Administration is actively pursuing the development of two new beach areas. The first project focuses on the stretch between the old and new bridges, while the second targets the area between the new bridge and the railway bridge. These strategic developments will enhance Kampot’s natural beauty and provide visitors with additional options for relaxation and leisure activities. (Read more)
