Korea Hands Over National Logistics Information Portal to Cambodia

The Government of the Republic of Korea on 20 December handed over the National Logistics Information Portal to Cambodia. 

The system was submitted to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport by Dr Kim Jong-hak, Senior Researcher of KRIHS Institute, Representative of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea, as a donor to the Cambodia Master Plan of Logistics System Modernisation. 

The system is already installed in the joint data centre of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport with inspections to ensure the standard and sustainability of work. 

With this new system, Cambodia can improve the national logistics system that focuses on three main goals: 1) The development of a master plan for the national logistics information management system, 2) The pilot implementation of the logistics information system, and 3) The enhancement of the capacity of civil servants through training in the country and in Korea. 

Cambodia has made large-scale changes by introducing the Port EDI system to facilitate ships entering and leaving Cambodia. (Read more)
