A Chinese firm and local company LSCG have recently co-approved a US$200 million investment budget to cooperate with OCIC on the new Phnom Penh international airport project.

According to LSCG CEO Ly Sok Chhay, his firm and the Chinese partner are ready in terms of budget, technical support, and human resources for the cooperation, but continue to await final approval from OCIC Chairman Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se.

“Our firms have been in talks with OCIC and Pung Kheav Se many times prior to this approval of US$200 million investment budget,” Mr. Sok Chhay told the Construction & Property Magazine on Sunday 29 August.

“We have also finished studies on the master plan, investment feasibility, technical works, and risks. The full report has already been submitted to OCIC,” he added.

However, Mr. Sok Chhay has yet to disclose the details of cooperation neither how the US$200 million to be used for the tasks his firm will implement within the airport project.

LSCG has already won bids on some OCIC projects such as the new Phnom Penh Airport project, and the Boeung 500 project, among others. (Read more)
