MOE vows to fully support renewable energy development projects

The Ministry of Environment has expressed its full support for the development of renewable energy and the promotion of energy efficiency in Cambodia. This was stated by HE Eang Sophalleth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment in the program “Towards Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the Garment Industry in Cambodia” on October 25, 2022.

The event was organized by the Global Green Development Institute of Seoul with the participation of HE Ban Ki-moon, President of the Green Development Institute and former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Deputy Director General of the Green Development Institute, a representative of the European Union to Cambodia, a representative of H&M, a factory representative. Garment and some other stakeholders.

HE Eang Sophalleth emphasized the policy position of Cambodia in supporting the development of renewable energy and welcomed and called for the support of development partners and stakeholders in supporting technology and finance for renewable energy development.
