Monivong Flyover Reaches Significant Milestone: Officially Connected, 80% Complete

The Monivong flyover, spanning the intersection of Monivong Blvd., Samdech Techo Hun Sen Blvd., and Yothapol Khemarak Phoumin Blvd (St. 271), has achieved a dual milestone. The official connection of the flyover’s main line was celebrated at a bridge connection ceremony presided over by HE Khuong Sreng, Governor of the Board of Governors of Phnom Penh on 29 January 2024.

According to updates from HE Keut Chhe, Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh, the construction progress for the Monivong flyover’s first phase (two-tier flyover) has surged to an impressive 80%. The meticulous construction efforts are on track, with the first phase slated for completion by the end of March 2024. Anticipating swift progress, the second phase is scheduled for completion ahead of the Khmer New Year in 2025.

Commencing on 31 August 2022, the Monivong Blvd. flyover project, orchestrated by the Cambodian Overseas Investment Company (OCIC), adheres to a rigorous 36-month timeline. The project’s significance lies not only in its infrastructural impact but also in its contribution to the city’s evolving urban landscape. (Read more)
