MPWT to Soon Begin Expansion Work on NR21B Section in Kandal Province

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) will soon start expansion work on a 3km section of NR21B, from the junction with NR2 to the roundabout of Prek Samrong Bridge in Kandal province.

MPWT Minister HE Sun Chanthol said during a site inspection on Wednesday 24 November that NR21B has a total length of 12.33km, but the 3km section is the crucial part for big trucks to detour the city centre.

“The road rehabilitation work will be implemented by using modern technology known as Stabilizer, which can reduce traffic congestion and environmental impact during the construction period while also giving stronger road quality,” said HE Chanthol.

“The expansion of this road section is mainly to facilitate logistic systems and to ease the traffic congestion in the area,” he added.

HE Minister Sun Chanthol also requested the officers to study and implement the project thoroughly to ensure high quality.
