MPWT Urges Japanese Firm to Help Establish Vehicle Inspection Service at Aeon Malls

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has urged a Japanese company to consider opening a vehicle technical inspection centre at Aeon Mall 1 and Aeon Mall 2.

Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol discussed the project in a meeting held on 26 January with Marubeni ASEAN PTE.LTD representative Mr Takeshi Mamiya.

MPWT service centres at both malls have been providing all kinds of public services such as driver’s license exams, vehicle registration and driver’s license renewal or renewal. Thus, it would be great to add the vehicle inspection centre, he added.

Mr Takeshi Mamiya said he will consider the proposed project and will provide feedback soon.

Marubeni ASEAN PTE.LTD has 36 branches worldwide, 19 of which are in ASEAN and South Asia, focusing on investment in transportation, infrastructure development, machinery, industry, construction, energy, and information technology infrastructure.
