New Ecotourism Development Project Proposed for Prey Nob District, Sihanoukville

A private firm Eco Beach Development together with the Boeung Chum fishing community have proposed to invest in developing a new ecotourism project in Prey Nob district in Sihanoukville.

The proposed project is located in Sre Cham Krom village, O’Chrov commune in Prey Nob district, according to the firm’s representation during their online meeting with the provincial administration this morning.

According to the plan, the project will include the construction of bungalows, sightseeing ports, natural crab farms, boat rides, and tourist markets, among others.

Spokesman for the Sihanoukville provincial administration Kheang Sophearom said that after reviewing the project proposal, the administration instructed the company to make a more detailed master plan.

The provincial officers will later review the detailed master plan further before making any decisions on the project.
