NR21B Rehabilitation Work in Kandal Province Set for Completion in One Month

The expansion and rehabilitation of the 3km section of the NR21B connecting NR2 junction to Prek Samrong Bridge roundabout in Kandal province is scheduled to be completed in a month.

The timeline was confirmed by HE Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, who led the technical working group to inspect the site on 9 December 2021.

HE Sun Chanthol said that the expansion and rehabilitation work is to facilitate the movement of locals, cargo trucks, and especially to ease congestion.

He added that the construction is using high-tech equipment called Stabilizer, provided by Japan along with technical assistance experts. This will make the road quality even stronger and more durable but create less impact on the environment and the neighbourhood.

The actual NR21B has a total length of 12.33km connecting NR2 to NR1, but the 3km section is the crucial part for big trucks to detour the city centre. (Read more)
