NR3 renovation project 83% complete

By the end of November, the National Road 3 renovation project from Chom Chao roundabout to Kampot city is 83% complete, according to a report from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPTW) on 10 December.

National Road 3 (Phnom Penh – Kampot) has a total length of over 134 km. From Chaom Chao to Bekkus is 69km and will be expanded to four lanes, while from Bekkus to Kampot town is 65km, and will stay with two lanes but upgraded to AC.

The National Road 3 renovation project is costing approximately US$219 million and is being implemented by the China Road Bridge Corporation. Ground was broken on the project on 7 May 2018 and will take a total of 48 months to complete.
