Phnom Penh Autonomous Port unveils port development project along river

The Phnom Penh Autonomous Port has unveiled plans to develop seven river-based ports to boost agricultural and tourism transportation.

The port development project was announced at the launch of the new container terminal of the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port held on September 20.

HE Hey Bavy, Director General of Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, said that the seven river ports, in which four-port project located in Kandal province, Tonle Beit multi-purpose terminal port in Kampong Cham province, Chhlong multi-purpose terminal in Kratie province, and Kampong Chhnang multi-purpose terminal port.

HE Hey Bavy requested support from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on river multi-purpose terminal development project.

HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport provided supports for the port development project, requesting the private sector to participate in the investment in the port project.
