Restoration Work Ongoing for Reopening Battambang Airport

Restoration work on reopening Battambang airport is proceeding as planned, and is currently at the stage of border marking, according to a meeting between the Battambang Provincial Administration and the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation last week.

Undersecretary of State for Civil Aviation HE Tek Sali instructed the provincial administration to carefully undertake border demarcation and land registration for the airport, to ensure the work can proceed smoothly.

After being closed since 1991, Battambang airport has just been included as part of the US$3 billion planned budget for constructing, expanding and renovating all airports nationwide from 2015-2023. (Read more)
