Royal Railways Officially Issues US$10 million Bond on CSX

Royal Railway PLC, a provider of rail, train, passenger, warehouse, and customs services has listed bonds of a total of 41 billion riels (approximately US$10 million) on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX).

The official bond listing ceremony was held on 31 October 2022, in the presence of Okhna Kith Meng, President of Royal Group, and HE Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Chairman of the Board Cambodia Securities Exchange.

Speaking at the event, Okhna Kith Meng said the bond listing was part of the company’s commitment and continued investment in the company’s railways.

“This bond is for investment in the development of the railway, adding new services for the Cambodian people,” he said.

The band will also be used to upgrade the railways, wagons, and locomotives, as well as new equipment.

The company plans to raise funds of US$20 million for the second bond listing, which is scheduled for later this year.
