Significant Economic Growth in Cambodia as of Early 2025

In a promising development for Cambodia’s economy, the country witnessed an impressive increase in enterprises during the first quarter of 2025. The total number of registered businesses and establishments reached 45,255, adding 457 new enterprises compared to the previous quarter. This growth is further accompanied by a significant boost in employment, with the workforce now totaling 1,846,837 individuals—an increase of 30,791 jobs.

Prime Minister Hun Manet shared this positive news in his message celebrating the 139th International Labor Day on May 1, 2025. He noted that the Council for the Development of Cambodia has registered 172 new investment projects, which are expected to attract around 2.5 billion baht in investment. These initiatives will generate nearly 120,000 new jobs, including six key projects that enhance production capabilities. (Read more)
