Techo International Airport in Takhmao City Nears 76% Completion

The construction of Techo International Airport in Takhmao City, an ambitious project with a US$1.5 billion investment, has reached 75.8% completion as of 6 June 2024. The project is on track to be operational by the first half of 2025, marking a significant milestone for Cambodia’s aviation sector.

Led by HE Mao Havannal, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation, a recent site visit highlighted the latest developments in this monumental project. Initiated on 16 June 2020, the airport spans 2,600 hectares across Kandal Steung district in Kandal province and Bati district in Takeo province. Designed as a 4F airport, it is set to accommodate large aircraft such as the Airbus A380-800 and Boeing 747-800. (Read more)
