13ha Prime Land Allocated for Private Development in Boeung Ta Mok, Phnom Penh

Cambodia’s government has recently granted an allocation of over 13 hectares of prime land in Boeung Ta Mok (Boeung Kob Srov) to Mr. Lahn Pheara. This decision, outlined in Sub-Decree No. 02 dated 4 January 2023, designates the land situated in Sangkat Kork Roka and Sangkat Ponsaing, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh, as state private property.

The allocation comes as part of the implementation of Sub-Decree No. 20 dated 3 February 2016, which focuses on the subdivision of the vast 3,239.7-hectare Boeung Ta Mok area in Phnom Penh, transforming state public property into state private property.

The designated plots of land, encompassing three distinct locations, offer lucrative development opportunities:

The first location spans 64,524 square meters and is situated in Trapeang Po village, Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.

The second location covers an area of 59,401 square meters and is located in Trapeang Po village, Sangkat Kork Roka, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.

The third location comprises 9,804 square meters and can be found in Prey Svay village, Sangkat Pansang, Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh.

These plots have been formally assigned to Mr. Lahn Pheara, with the relevant taxes duties assumed by the state.

The government’s decision to allocate Boeung Ta Mok’s land to state private ownership has been an ongoing endeavor. To date, approximately 682 hectares have been granted to private individuals and various state institutions in nine separate allocations since 2020. (Read more)

Furthermore, as part of the reclassification efforts, the Cambodian government has redefined 140 hectares of Boeung Ta Mok from state public property to state private property. The Ministry of Justice has been entrusted with 4 hectares of this land for the construction of a new ministry building. (Read more and more)

With the recent allocation of more than 6.1 hectares of land on Lake Ta Mok, designated as state private property, Mr. Seng Youan has also become a beneficiary of the government’s efforts to transform and utilize the available land resources. (Read more)
