Cambodia’s Investment Landscape Grows: Six Projects Worth US$34.6 Million Approved

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to six ambitious projects. These projects, with a combined investment of US$34.6 million, are set to not only contribute significantly to the country’s economic growth but also generate 7,584 employment opportunities in Kampong Speu, Takeo, and Phnom Penh.

The CDC announcement on 15 September 2023, marks a pivotal moment in Cambodia’s industrial expansion, listing the six companies and their respective ventures:

  1. TX FOOD (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: With a US$7 million investment, this company is set to establish a noodle factory in Taing Sreung village, Sangke Satop commune, Oral district, Kampong Speu province.
  2. CORP TRIM (CAMBODIA) INDUSTRY CO., LTD: Investing US$6.3 million, this company will build a factory producing cardboard boxes and paper price tags. The factory will be located on Street 122, Trakiet village, Trapeang Sap commune, Bati district, Takeo province.
  3. POWER CROWN FOOTWEAR (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: With an investment of US$5.6 million, this company will establish a footwear factory in Tuol Sam village, Sangkat Kambol, Khan Kambol, Phnom Penh.
  4. YOUNG ME APPAREL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: Allocating US$5.4 million, this company is gearing up to establish a garment factory in Toul Pong village, Sangkat Choam Chao I, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.
  5. JIASHUN R PACKAGING MATERIAL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: With US$5.2 million in investment, this company will create a cardboard factory in Chak Kambet village, Vallisor commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.
  6. NEWSIGHT GARMENT CO., LTD: With a US$5.1 million investment, this company plans to establish a garment factory in Damnak Thom 3 village, Sangkat Steung Meanchey III, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

These endeavours not only signify a positive surge in Cambodia’s investment climate but also underscore the commitment of both local and international investors in the nation’s growth. With a focus on diversifying industries and generating employment opportunities, these projects are poised to play a pivotal role in Cambodia’s journey toward economic prosperity.
