Cambodia Welcomes US$33.3m Investment as Government Approves Establishment of Five New Factories Across Five Provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has granted registration certificates to five visionary companies. These companies are set to embark on the establishment of five state-of-the-art factories, collectively investing a total of US$33.3 million. This significant announcement was made public through the CDC’s official publication on 19th June 2023, affirming the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth and attracting foreign direct investment.

Among the five pioneering companies, TWPC INVESTMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD leads the way by injecting US$10.4 million into the creation of a cutting-edge cassava processing factory. Strategically located in O Sram village, Trapeang Tao commune, Anlong Veng district, Oddar Meanchey province, this facility aims to capitalize on Cambodia’s vast cassava resources, contributing to the development of the agricultural sector.

WICKIMED (CAMBODIA) SUPPLY CO., LTD stands out as another major player in this transformative venture. With a substantial investment of US$6.3 million, the company is establishing a state-of-the-art medical equipment factory on NR 41, Building 6, Trapeang Chhouk Village, Bor Seth Commune, Bor Seth District, Kampong Speu Province. This forward-thinking initiative will not only enhance domestic healthcare capabilities but also foster technological advancement in the medical industry.

CMB & CHN CO., LTD is poised to revolutionize the food processing sector with its US$6.1 million investment in a modern factory located in Veal village, Kampong Seila commune, Kampong Seila district, Preah Sihanouk province. This facility will significantly contribute to the country’s food production capabilities, meeting the growing demand for processed food products both domestically and internationally.

ELITE ENTERPRISE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD joins the cohort of visionary companies, investing US$5.3 million in a garment factory situated in Ang Village, Sangkat Choam Chao III, Khan Por Sen Chey, Phnom Penh. This cutting-edge facility is set to bolster Cambodia’s thriving garment and textile industry, creating employment opportunities and reinforcing the country’s position as a leading global exporter.

Last but not least, L T K J (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD is making a significant mark with its US$5.2 million investment in all kinds of pipe factories. Located in Pdao Pen Village, Tang Krouch Commune, Samrong Tong District, Kampong Speu Province, this state-of-the-art facility will contribute to the country’s infrastructure development and meet the rising demand for quality pipes in various sectors.
