Construction Begins on Major New Road in Prey Veng Province

Construction has officially begun on a new 10km road in Prey Veng province, with the road being upgraded to DBST and concrete.

The road connects Chi Poch village to Pra Hear village in Mesang district, Prey Veng province.

This project is being built under the National Restoration of Rural Productive Capacity Project (NRRPCP) 2021-2023 with a total budget of US$67 million US dollars, of which US$60 million was financed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and US$7.5 million contributed by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

The whole project includes the construction of 185km DBST road, 50km of concrete roads, and 150 communities, in five provinces such as Kampong Chhnang, Pailin, Prey Veng, Tbong Khmum, and Koh Kong.
