Construction Project on NR No. 71c (Tbong Khmum-Kampong Cham) Completed 3 Months Ahead of Schedule

The construction of NR No. 71c, stretching 114.62km from NR No. 7 point PK150 + 700 in Tbong Khmum province to NR No. 71 point PK30 + 400 in Kampong Cham province, has been completed 100% and is set to be officially inaugurated soon. This information was announced on the Ministry of Public Works and Transport’s official Facebook page on 14 July 2024.

Currently, the Ministry of Public Works and all working groups are addressing any remaining details to ensure the overall completion of the project. Preparations are underway for the official launch, now that the construction work has reached full completion. Additionally, the team is diligently finalising traffic markings, installing traffic signs, planting kilometre poles, and implementing erosion control measures by planting grass along the road.

NR No. 71c was initially groundbroken on 23 November 2021, funded by the People’s Republic of China with approximately US$129.98 million, supplemented by contributions from the Royal Government of Cambodia. Despite the original completion target set for October 2024, the project has been completed ahead of schedule, underscoring the efficiency and dedication of the involved parties. (Read more)
