Two Factories Worth Over US$5 million Approved for Kandal & Takeo

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved two investment projects on Friday 13 August worth US$5.5 million for Kandal and Takeo provinces.

The first investment permit has been granted to Collaboration Packaging Material Products Co., Ltd to invest US$4.1 million to build a bag and shoe accessories factory in Angk Snuol district in Kandal province.

The second is Chasefire Outdoors (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, which will invest US$3.3 million to build a factory to produce safety outfits, bags, and camping accessories in Samraong district in Takeo province.

The two investment projects will help create over 1,200 jobs.

According to a CDC report, in the first half of 2021 CDC approved 87 new investments, both new and expansion projects, equivalent to almost US$3 billion, which is an increase of about 10% compared to the same period last year. (Read more)
