Two Main Roads in Svay Rieng to be Completed in 2023

Two main roads, a DBST road in Romduol district, Svay Rieng province, are scheduled to be completed in 2023, while both roads are currently under construction, according to HE Ouk Rabun, Minister of Rural Development, during the inspection of the road construction site on May 10, 2022.

HE Ouk Rabun, Minister of Rural Development, said that the two main roads in Svay Rieng are:

Line 1: 9,170 km long, 8 meters wide road connects Kampong Chak village to Pong Teuk village, Pong Teuk commune, Romduol district. As a result, 53% and construction is scheduled to be completed in April 2023.

Line 2: 24,960 km long, 8 meters wide road connect Prey Keav village, Kampong Chak commune to Kampong Ampil village, Kampong Ampil commune, Romduol district, Svay Rieng province. As a result, 60% is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2023.

Svay Rieng province receives four roads with a total length of 57,200km, which is a project under the rural road improvement project third phase, which is implemented in the 10 target provinces by constructing paved roads and concrete roads with a total length of more than 724 km – in Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kandal, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Speu, Takeo, Kampot, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, and Kratie provinces.

The project is being implemented from 2020 to 2025 with a total budget of US$120 million, including concessional financing from the Asian Development Bank, the Export-Import Bank of the Republic of Korea, and the contribution of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
