The report highlights that in 2024, Cambodia’s import trade volume reached approximately USD 28.5 billion, an 18% rise from 2023. The surge in imports can be attributed to several key sectors, including steel products, raw materials, and machinery essential for investment projects, alongside construction materials, vehicles, and various consumer goods.

The garment sector led the charge with a remarkable 23.3% growth in garment investment products. Non-garment investment products, such as tires, electronic components, and processed foods, saw a modest increase of 2.6%, while agricultural exports—which include essential items like rice, rubber, and cashew nuts—grew by 11.6%.

Furthermore, the General Department of Customs and Excise reported tax and excise revenue of 10,542.2 billion riels, equivalent to approximately USD 2.6 billion, reflecting a 13.8% increase from 2023.
