Over 200 Families in Banteay Srei District Receive Water Wells & Tanks with 10,000 Litre Capacity

“Good wells for the community” equipped with a pumping system and a 10,000-litre water tank was first ever installed in Trapeang Thmor village, which faced severe water shortages in the dry season and was one of the poorest villages in Banteay Srei district, according to the Banteay Srei district governor Khim Finan.

This was the first time that all 245 Trapeang Thmor village families had achieved a lasting solution and were able to put an end to their daily challenges, Khim Finan said recently.

“In the last two years, he has led the working team to visit Trapeang Thmor village no less than 10 times, including 20 wells that the Banteay Srei district administration has received from charities and handed the wells to village people for only purpose is to address the difficulty of all 245 families caused by severe water shortages,” he said.

The “good wells for the community “, equipped with a pumping system and a 10,000-litre tank, was founded by Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars to ease the difficulties of the villagers of Trapeang Thmor and from the permission of the chief of Wat Prey Choam, who allowed a plot of land in the pagoda for the construction of the important community well.
