60-metre Road Canal Around Angkor Kyung Yu to Become Green Park

The APSARA Authority will soon transform the canal along the 60-metre road in the Angkor Khyong Yu area in Siem Reap province into a green park with bicycles lane, sidewalks, and garden benches.

Director-General of the APSARA Authority Hang Pov said on 02 February that the canal is 4 metres wide, 2 metres deep, and 2 kilometres long. However, the authority will first renovate it from the Spean Neak Bridge to the Apsara roundabout in the Angkor Kyung Yu area.

“For the next phase, it will be from the Apsara roundabout to National Road 6 and from the checkpoint/ticket booth to the Srah Srong temple route,” said Mr Pov.

He added that the project will take 18 months to complete.
