Authorities Suspend Four Factories in Takeo as COVID-19 Positive Cases Surge

After some factory workers were found to be COVID-19 positive, the Takeo provincial administration has decided to temporarily suspend operations of four factories in Bati district. Over 1,200 workers are also required to undergo tests and quarantine, according to the official announcement on 3 May.

The announcement stated that the four factories will be suspended from 03 May until further notice, including PV Ultra Steel, Hua Li M, Lun Wei Textile, and Linton Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

The Takeo provincial administration also urged representatives of the four companies to cooperate with the authorities in researching and tracking other related people.

After more positive cases were found in the province, the Takeo provincial administration has also recently decided to lock down some villages and temporarily suspend business in Tram Khna market.
