Over 700kg of Gold Ore Refined in Three Months

Renaissance Minerals has refined over 700kg of gold ore in three months of the refinery production process in northeastern Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province, while over 500kg has already been exported to Australia for purification.

Speaking at the cabinet meeting held last Friday, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, said, “In the three-month period, Cambodia has produced more than 700kg of gold ore.”

Renaissance Minerals started commercial gold refinery production in June within their zone in Keo Sema district, Mondulkiri province.

Besides the operation in Mondulkiri, Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia) has also recently obtained a new license to explore for gold on over 10,000 hectares of land in Tbong Khmum province’s Memot district. (Read more)

Similarly, an Indian-owned Mesco Gold (Cambodia), which has been licensed to conduct exploration for mine in Ratanakkiri province’s Oyadao district, has announced that the amount of mineral resources in the designated area is high enough to set up a gold refinery in the future. (Read more)
