Gov’t Built Mondulkiri Bypass Road in Just Seven Days

In an extraordinary display of efficiency and dedication, the Mondulkiri Provincial Administration has completed the construction of a vital bypass road spanning 1,000 meters in an astonishingly short time frame of seven days. This strategic intervention comes in response to the collapse of National Road 76 on 1 August 2023 and is set to restore uninterrupted connectivity for citizens, effectively allowing passage once again from 7 August 2023.

The confirmation of this remarkable accomplishment was officially announced by the Mondulkiri Provincial Administration on 7 August 2023. The newly established bypass is meticulously crafted with compacted concrete, ensuring a reliable and durable thoroughfare for all travelers.

It’s noteworthy that the bypass’s construction spans approximately 1,000 meters, providing a well-engineered solution for citizens to temporarily traverse the affected area with utmost ease.

Recalling the events leading to this rapid infrastructure development, the collapse of National Road 76 was precipitated by severe flooding that caused a segment of the road to crumble into a lower ravine. This disruption effectively severed the direct route between km 90 to km 99 of National Road 76, specifically within the stretch from O’Raing district to Keo Seima district (O’Ngei point). This location is situated in Andong Kraloeng village, Sen Monorom commune, Oreang district, Mondulkiri province.

This incident did not jeopardize the safety of any commuters, thanks to the prompt actions taken by local authorities.

The successful completion of the Mondulkiri bypass road within an astonishingly short span of time not only exemplifies the government’s commitment to efficient solutions but also serves as a testament to their prioritization of citizens’ convenience and safety.
