Eco-resort Set for Siem Reap

Developer SONG SAA Collective first received approval from the Cambodian government in 2012 to develop and launch “Song Saa Island” a conservation-based luxury tourism resort on Cambodia’s Koh Rong Archipelago in Sihanouk province. Now the developer is eyeing the development of an eco-resort in Banteay Srei District, Siem Reap province.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Environment, the developer is planning an initial investment capital of USD3 million to develop the resort which will include bungalows close to a natural lake where visitors can see birds, fish, and other natural resources. It added that villas, meditation, and religious and entertainment centres and a school are also parts of the project.

Rory Hunter, CEO and Co-Founder of Song Saa, emphasised that his firm is keeping one hectare of land surrounding the natural lake close to the project so as to conserve fish and all types of birds living there.
