Extended Savings: Expressway Company Announces 20% Discount Continuation for ETC & ANPR Users

In a generous move to support its users, the company responsible for managing the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway has declared an extension of the 20% discount for a further six months exclusively for ETC and ANPR users, a decision that underscores the company’s commitment to fostering economic growth and promoting the transport sector in Cambodia.

The announcement, made on 24 April 2024, marks a significant continuation of the company’s pricing strategy on the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, aimed at thanking the community and its loyal customers.

The expressway company confirmed that the discount would remain in effect from the date of the announcement until 31 October 2024, after which the fare for ETC and ANPR users will revert to its original price. From 1 May 2024, however, cash-paying (MTC) road users will face the original price, as the discount period for this payment method concludes.

Furthermore, the company has facilitated the adoption of ETC devices by offering free installations at administrative buildings located at all expressway entrances and ETC service centres. This initiative, starting from 1 April 2024, is strategically positioned to ease access for the public, particularly at the Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville toll booths, enhancing the travel experience for all.

This pricing strategy not only reflects the expressway company’s gratitude towards its patrons but also represents a strategic effort to stimulate the Cambodian economy and encourage advancements in the transport sector. By maintaining reduced prices for ETC and ANPR users, the company aims to incentivise the use of advanced payment technologies, thereby streamlining operations and contributing to a more efficient and user-friendly expressway system.
