Bentley for Government Software Now Listed on FedRAMP Marketplace

OpenGround achieves FedRAMP In Process status, ProjectWise to follow

EXTON, Pa., April 14, 2025 – Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Nasdaq: BSY), the infrastructure engineering software company, today announced that OpenGround, its geotechnical information management and reporting software, achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP®) In Process status and is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace under Bentley for Government.

FedRAMP accelerates and supports the adoption and use of secure cloud-based services by the federal government. Through rigorous standards and controls testing, it ensures solutions from cloud service providers are resilient to cyber threats and effective in mitigating against cyber vulnerabilities.

OpenGround is Bentley’s first software product to go through the FedRAMP process. ProjectWise, part of Bentley Infrastructure Cloud focused on supporting infrastructure project delivery, will follow shortly thereafter. These Bentley for Government offerings are categorized under FedRAMP’s moderate impact level for controlled, unclassified federal information systems and data. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), a key user of OpenGround and the largest federal user of ProjectWise, is serving as the federal sponsor for Bentley.

“Bentley is committed to ensuring infrastructure engineers working for U.S. federal agencies and contractors have access to secure, cloud-connected solutions that meet federal standards for confidentiality, integrity, and availability,” said Julien Moutte, chief technology officer, Bentley Systems. “Achieving FedRAMP In Process status for OpenGround, followed by ProjectWise, is an important step in the process toward full FedRAMP authorization, providing government users with secure digital delivery tools that drive more efficient, collaborative, and sustainable infrastructure designs.”

In addition to FedRAMP, Bentley is pursuing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) security authorization for OpenGround and ProjectWise, which will provide Department of Defense (DoD) engineers and contractors a more streamlined process, with reduced time and cost, to procure and implement Bentley’s cloud solutions.
