Bentley Systems Launches Elite Program to Cultivate OpenRoads and OpenBridge Superusers

Volaree Rendon, Bentley Systems’ Director of Solutions Engineering, has channeled her passion for mentorship into the creation of the prestigious Premier Scholar Program, an intensive boot camp designed to develop a global network of accredited experts in the company’s vital infrastructure design software, OpenRoads and OpenBridge.

Bentley Systems, the infrastructure engineering software company, is strengthening its user base’s advanced technical skills with its highly selective Premier Scholar Program. The initiative, designed and championed by Volaree Rendon, aims to transform highly skilled engineers into accredited leaders and mentors in digital design delivery.

The Premier Scholar Program is an exclusive, rigorous accreditation that certifies superusers in several key Bentley applications, such as OpenRoads Designer and OpenBridge Designer.

OpenRoads Designer is a comprehensive software for the planning, design, construction, and operation of roadways, intersections, drainage, and utilities. Meanwhile, OpenBridge Designer is an integrated application for bridge modeling, analysis, and design, supporting all bridge types.

The program, which accepts a maximum of 20 participants per session, is described as a “proving ground” for the best of the best. It includes three days of intensive workshops and case studies as well as a capstone project where participants must solve a real-world design problem within three weeks.

Graduates earn the esteemed “Premier Scholar” status, a gold badge, and entry into an elite alumni community that provides continuous learning through exclusive master class sessions.

Rendon’s inspiration for the program stems from a pivotal moment early in her career when a technical college instructor encouraged her not to drop a CAD course she’d impulsively joined. This experience cemented her belief in the power of mentorship, which she now pays forward.

The program not only deepens technical mastery but is a critical resource for Bentley’s users, providing accredited experts who can lead technical discussions, troubleshoot advanced issues, and ultimately drive innovation and efficiency within their own organizations.
