Bentley Systems Secures FedRAMP Authorization for Cloud Infrastructure Tools

Bentley Systems has reached a significant regulatory milestone as its ProjectWise and OpenGround platforms have officially achieved FedRAMP authorization. Sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), this certification marks the first time U.S. federal agencies can fully utilize these infrastructure solutions within a secure cloud environment.

This achievement effectively removes the technical and local hosting barriers that previously limited federal agencies. By meeting the rigorous security standards required by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, Bentley now enables government organizations to modernize their workflows and strengthen geotechnical data management. The authorization also streamlines the procurement process by eliminating the need for lengthy, redundant security reviews at the individual agency level.

For private contractors and engineering firms, this milestone acts as a critical operational enabler. Teams working on federally funded programs can now collaborate with government clients in an authorized cloud space from day one, significantly reducing the risks and delays often associated with security approvals.

Beyond initial access, the FedRAMP status mandates continuous security monitoring. This ensures that both ProjectWise and OpenGround remain resilient against evolving digital threats through ongoing vulnerability assessments and strict compliance reporting. By securing this authorization, Bentley reinforces its commitment to providing a trusted digital foundation for the orld’s most critical infrastructure projects.
