Cambodia, Japan Discuss Measures to Boost Logistics Efficiency & Connectivity

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia and Japan are discussing measures to strengthen and expand the efficiency of the logistic system between Cambodia, ASEAN and Japan.

According to the 19th ASEAN-Japan Senior Transport Officials Meeting [STOM] Leaders Conference held online on Tuesday 13 July, both parties have agreed to implement three main projects including:

1. Preparing the Report of Concept on ICT Solution for Overloaded Vehicle Control
2. Establishing the ASEAN-Japan Guidelines of Certifications of Audits for Cold Chain Logistics
3. Utilisation of Big Data to Improve Mobility

Both Japan and Cambodia will further study and prepare the proposals for the aforementioned projects. The proposals will later be submitted to and discussed in the 20th ASEAN-Japan Transport Ministers ‘Meeting and the ASEAN Transport Ministers’ Meeting, which will both be hosted by Cambodia.
