Cambodia-Korea Collaborate to Enhance Border Infrastructure Development at Tro Pang Sre

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in partnership with the UCAK International Building Association (ICAK) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Delivery of the Republic of Korea (MOLIT), has embarked on a significant project aimed at advancing border infrastructure at Tro Pang Sre. This collaborative effort between Cambodia and Korea seeks to bolster operational capacities at the gate, with a primary focus on enhancing the logistical system within Cambodia.

On 30th May 2023, the project achieved its initial milestone, marking the commencement of key studies. These studies encompass various crucial aspects, including the logistics system, architectural design, traffic management, economic considerations, economic analysis, and financial evaluation. The overarching objective is to optimize the Tro Pang Sre International Border entry points, situated in the Snuol district of Kratie province along the Cambodian-Vietnamese border.

In addition to the border infrastructure development, Cambodia and Vietnam have also embarked on collaborative efforts for the Lunest-Trapier-Ho Chi Minh-Munic’s portions of the Singapore Railway Line and the study of the road line, known as SKRL. This groundbreaking initiative aims to create a new transportation corridor connecting Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City by traversing the Bavet-Moc Bai border crossing. (Read more)
